FREE ATP PENS

The HY-LiTE(R) Liquid Test Pens for Free ATP are ready prepared Pens to measure the Free ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) in liquid samples using the HY-LiTE(R) 2/2A luminometer. ATP is detected by reaction with a luciferin/luciferase reagent in buffered solution.Compared to the HY-LiTE(R) Liquid Test Pen for Total ATP (1.30102), the white sampling stick of the Liquid Pen for Free ATP does not contain a lysis reagent. Therefore, bacterial cells are not lysed and only the free ATP in the liquid solution is measured. A comparative measurement using both HY-LiTE(R) liquid pens (1.30102 Total ATP and 1.30194 Free ATP) can be performed in order to provide information on the proportion of cellularly bound ATP.
