Prostaglandin F2 receptor negative regulator (UniProt: Q9P2B2; also known as CD9 partner 1, CD9P1; Glu-Trp-Ile EWI motif-containing protein F; nEWI-F; Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor regulatory protein; Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor-associated protein; CD315) is encoded by the PTGFRN (also known as CD9P1, EWIF, FPRP, KIAA1436) gene (Gene ID 5738 ) in human. CD315 inhibits the binding of prostaglandin F2-alpha (PGF2-alpha) to its specific prostaglandin F2 alpha receptor, by decreasing the receptor number rather than the affinity constant. It is also reported to complex with 4-TM CD9 and CD81 and link them to the intracellular actin cytoskeleton. Its extracellular domain (ECD) contains six C2-type Ig-like domains (aa22-813) plus a Pro-Thr-Glu-Leu ER retention signal segment.
