GranuCult(R) prime KLIGLER Agar is a nutrient rich medium which is designed for the identification of Gram-negative bacteria, mainly Enterobacteriaceae, on the base of their ability to ferment glucose and lactose (carbohydrate fermentation) and to release sulfides (H2S production). The rich carbon and carbohydrate sources like peptone, meat extract and glucose enable rapid growth of microorganisms present in the test sample.
